Great day in Lockwood yesterday to kick off our track and field season.
Over 35+ Personal Records, multiple State Qualifying performances, and one school record broke in boy's 4x100 relay.

On Friday, March 22, the RLHS band performed two prepared pieces in front of two adjudicators as part of our annual participation in the district Large Group Festival.
After those prepared pieces, they participated in the sight-reading portion that requires them to play a piece they have never seen before with only 6 minutes to look at it beforehand. The judges used a rubric to score several categories, including tone quality, rhythmic and note accuracy, balance and blend, and professionalism.
Both of the adjudicators gave RLHS scores that fell under a "II" rating, or "Excellent."
"II. Excellent - Shows above average literature selection, preparation, execution or interpretation for age and training of performer(s); musically challenging with few technical errors and demonstrated awareness of advanced musical concepts and nuance."
