I am Christi Kohley the PK-4th grade special education teacher at Mountain View School. I was born and raised in Red Lodge; although, I did spend part of my early childhood in rural Wyoming. After graduating from RLHS in 2002, I pursued my degree in secondary education in English teaching while attending The University of Montana. I completed my student teaching in Missoula, where I taught middle school English Language Arts and Social Studies, and after moving back to Red Lodge in 2009, I taught high school and middle school English Language Arts and Fine Arts in Belfry for 3 years. I have previously worked as a substitute teacher for Red Lodge Schools for several years during my undergraduate studies, and after teaching in Belfry, until I began working as a special education paraprofessional at Mountain View Elementary. Currently, I am working toward my graduate degree in PK-12th special education through MSU-B and the OPI Special Education Endorsement Project Program. Although we may face a lot of challenges this year, I look forward to seeing the faces of our students! I hope that we can all come together during this time to embrace the year ahead of us, but also remember to take things one step at a time. We are all in this journey together!
