Distance Learning Plan due to COVID-19
Hello awesome 1st grade families,
Here is an update on the distance learning plan:
* On April 22nd, the school board voted to extend distance learning until the end of the school year. This means, I will continue using Seesaw as my learning platform. Please be checking your Seesaw inbox daily for updates and new assignments.
* Friday, May 1st from 9:30 to 10:30, I will be handing out the last round of work to help get through to the end of school on May 29th. Please come to the main doors and I will hand out the packets. If you are unable to make it to the pick up, let me know and I can deliver it to you.
* Assignments will stay the same with the first half assigned on Mondays and due on Wednesdays and the second half assigned Wednesdays and due on Fridays. I realize that the weather is getting better and we all want to be outside. I will do my very best to incorporate activities that get the students outside as much as possible. However, it is still important to continue working hard, persevering and completing assignments to keep their skills up.
* Continue to read, read and read some more. You can read to them, they can read to you, you can put on a play, read with funny voices, lay a blanket out on the grass and read in the sun. Do anything to keep them working on their skills and building their love for reading.
I appreciate every one of you and all the support and guidance you have been giving your children through these hard times. Please give yourselves a pat on the back.
Don't hesitate to contact me via Seesaw or email with any questions, comments or concerns.
Keep smiling and being awesome!
